Way back in December 2014, I took a plunge. I took a chance on something new, different, and independent of outside opinions I dove head first (literally and metaphorically) into the realm of pastel hair. And gee golly, what fun it was!
For quite a while now, pastel has been all the rage and it doesn’t seem to be letting up any time soon (hip hip horray!). There are many different shades of pastels and colors one can choose for this adventure, from rosy pinks to foxy silvers, which my hair ultimately faded into and it was quite fun to match my parents’ hairdos.
For me, my first venture into the realm of a box of Crayola crayons was a blue steel-grey. It’s an ashy color that compliments many skin tones and brings out an extra twinkle in one’s eyes. Unlike a standard bright ocean blue shade, never did I feel that my blue steel hair inhibited my wardrobe choices or draw too much attention from strangers. It definitely drew attention, but it was almost always positive. If I were asked to give any advice on whether to take the plunge, I would say go for it, but only if you love components and constant adoration. ?0
