Is there anyone out there in the world that hates string lights? Serious question. And if so, how and why? For me, when I close my eyes and think of a wonderful, relaxing place, this locale always includes strands of café Edison-style baubles strung in the sky. Each little bulb and the light they shine creates an aura of fun, whether that be enjoying a glass of wine with a friend at a outdoor bar, delivering an extra dash of romance to a wedding or winding down a party with good conversation and the warmth of the fire pit, all underneath the glittering sparkle of the bulbs. While not a recent invention by any means, Edison and string lights (aka twinkle lights) have become en vogue in the world of home décor. Simply put, there’s just something special about them. They add interest to any space. The metal cap Edison lights add an industrial-inspired touch to any outdoor living space while the tiny firefly lights are perfect for infusing a dash of starry charm to small spaces like bedrooms and dorms. I love them for a hint of romantic illumination along a railing, headboard, shelves or decorating an outdoor table for a get-together. To summarize, string lights are warm and cozy and transform any humdrum space into an enchanted fairyland.
