Aloha from Hawaii! I sit here writing this on the lanai of our rental condo in Maui and boy is it beautiful. We’re talking blue skies, crystal clear waters, and bushels of palm trees all across sandy beaches. While I won’t dive too much into my personal life as all that can be a bummer at times, I will say that I haven’t needed a vacation quite like this in a long time. It’s so lovely to be able to wake up late every morning to the sounds of the waves gently crashing to shore and the beauty of paradise at your fingertips all while being able to forget your worries and preoccupations of home, even if just momentarily.
I picked up this floral dress at the flea market on Saturday. I fell in love with it instantly for its subtle Hawaiian print, flowy silhouette, and button detailing along the collar. Packing for tropical locales is definitely one of my favorite things. Options galore abound when dressing in layers is of no concern and you can rely on the same temperate climate every day of the week. Skirts and tees, dresses and sandals, and big floppy hats are some of my faves.
You might be able to tell I didn’t take as many photos as usual since I don’t have my tripod and am dependent on my dad to be my photographer. And since I don’t want to take away too much time from his vacation, we kept the photoshoot to a bare minimum.
