Wow oh wow. 2015 is over, done with, fin! Looking back, this year seems like it was quite a whirlwind. Sure, not all resolutions were met with success (hello eating better and working out more!), but I’m trying not to think of myself as a total failure.
While I didn’t achieve those more traditional goals, I still accomplished some things especially in the realm of personal, emotional breakthroughs. In 2015 I pushed myself socially and went out to bars parties, and various social gatherings, oftentimes surrounded by just distant acquaintances rather than close friends. For the first time, I didn’t let my social anxiety get the worst of me. While there were some moments of the year wherein I was burning the candle at both ends, I’d say the added ounce of exhaustion and extra cups of coffee in the mornings were definitely worth it in the end.
Looking forward into 2016, I’d love to continue the trend of “outgoing Erin,” which was one of the reasons for starting this blog back in July. I’m going to strive to push myself in my writing, photography, personal style, and home decor. I’m going to try to remember to document interesting, fun moments in photo. I’m going to further explore this great city in which I live. And hopefully, when all is said and done and I’m back here in a year, my heart will be content.
And lastly, enough with all the babble. Here are some pics from my New Year’s weekend. Hope you all had a lovely holiday as well!
